Welcome to the Bequia Mission Web Site!

The Bequia Mission and Friends of the Bequia Mission are voluntary, non-profit, non-denominational registered charities in Canada and the U.S., respectively. Their members are dedicated to providing social, educational and medical assistance to the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a small island nation in the eastern Caribbean. At only seven square miles, tiny Bequia (pronounced "Beck-way") is the largest in the Grenadine island chain.

Founded in 1970, under the leadership of Reverend Ron Armstrong and his wife June, the Bequia Mission was incorporated as a registered Canadian charitable organization in 1981. Today, a dedicated group of volunteers continues the long-standing humanitarian work of the Mission with the help of donors from Canada, abroad and a local committee comprised of concerned Bequia residents.
